九谷焼の世界　Kutaniyaki World

陶芸に刳り貫き（くりぬき）技法があります。　文字通りの技法で粘土の塊を叩く、削る、ちぎるなどで好みの造形をして、そこらから、生まれる肌合い、景色を楽しむ技術です。刳り貫きはその塊の中に穴を開ける副次的なものですが、陶箱、陶筥、花入などなど粘土遊びの究極的なものと思います。今回は、基本的な作品を作って見ました。　もっと野性的な、生命を感じるものにしたかった。 この作品の成功の秘訣はじっくり乾燥させる。
　　Hollowing clay techiniques is one of easy way of making your pottery creation. It is very simple and easy yet provide you with unique and wonderful result. The most important rules are to try to hollow to an even thickness of around 5mm, and to allow to dry properly before firing.
